A story you love. A show to remember.
Step into the Pridelands as one of Disney’s best-loved stories becomes an extraordinary live theatre experience. Rich colours, inventive puppetry and soaring music bring Simba’s journey to life in a way that only the stage can.
Make a weekend of it, with a scenic tour and free time in London, reserved coach travel and two nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast at Holiday Inn Slough.
The Pridelands, brought to life.
Follow Simba from young cub to the responsibilities of adulthood, through a story of family, friendship, loss and finding the courage to return home.
Julie Taymor’s distinctive masks, costumes and puppets let you see the performer and animal character together. Giraffes, lions and birds become living theatre, while the music blends familiar favourites with the rhythms and choral sounds that give this production its unmistakable character.
From the opening Circle of Life to the wider score, music by Elton John, Tim Rice and the production’s creative collaborators gives the show both its emotional heart and its energy. Whether it is your first West End musical or a return to a favourite, there is something special about experiencing it live.
A West End setting worthy of the spectacle.
The Lyceum Theatre has been home to London’s production of The Lion King since 1999. Its Covent Garden setting and grand theatre frontage make arriving part of the occasion, before the lights dim and the Pridelands appear.
The performance lasts approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, including an interval. The show is recommended for ages 6 and above; children under 3 are not admitted.
A little London. A lot to look forward to.
Saturday includes a scenic tour and free time in London before the show. Enjoy seeing the capital, then spend your free time browsing, finding somewhere for a bite to eat or simply taking in the atmosphere.
It is a lovely balance: time to enjoy the city, followed by a memorable theatre experience. With the coach travel arranged, you can focus on the occasion.
