Planning this journey
Count pupils, teachers, support staff and every accompanying adult. List the learning sites in the order the group intends to visit them, with the time needed at each. Give exact addresses or clearly identified meeting locations and explain where a full-size coach should set down and collect the group. A place suitable for pupils to begin a walk is not automatically suitable for a coach to stop.
Describe fieldwork bags, measuring equipment, samples or other materials, with quantities and sizes for bulky items. Discuss the actual carrying requirements with our team. If the day involves several sites or separate walk endpoints, send the complete route as a tailored enquiry rather than entering only the first destination.

Connect the learning route to the vehicle route
Identify which parts of the field trip pupils travel on foot and which require the coach. Give the planned duration of a walk or study session and the location where the group will reassemble afterwards. Check access and any visitor instructions with the landowner, site or learning centre where appropriate. Tell us about a booked workshop, tide-dependent activity or another fixed commitment that affects the schedule, without assuming a coach can reach every observation point. The school organises permissions, supervision, registers and its own fieldwork procedures; these remain separate from the transport booking.
Agree how a changed fieldwork plan is communicated
Outdoor study plans may change, so distinguish your intended programme from any alternative the school is considering. Give the alternative site and proposed movements if you want them assessed, rather than assuming an agreed route can change on the day. Nominate a school organiser to communicate with our team and bring pupils together at the collection point. Allow time for your own equipment checks and changing arrangements before boarding. If weather or site access affects the visit, contact our team about the transport implications; do not circulate revised coach times until the changed arrangements have been discussed.

What should a school trip organiser prepare?

How many people can travel on a coach?

How do I get a coach hire estimate?

Can we have more than one pickup?
Yes. Add the pickup points in the estimate builder in the order you would like to visit them. The proposed schedule allows boarding time at each pickup. Our team checks the practical arrangements before confirming the journey.
Is the coach booked when I send an enquiry?
Sending an enquiry does not reserve a coach. We email a copy to you and our team, who check coach access, timings and availability before confirming your quote.
Can I save the journey and share it with passengers?

What if my journey needs a different arrangement?
