Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

Loch Lomond Travel Limited respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, who we may share it with, how long we keep it and the rights available to you.

1. Who we are

Loch Lomond Travel Limited is the organisation responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@lochlomondtravel.com, by telephone on 0141 487 6737, or by writing to Lower Ground, 22–24 Blythswood Square, Glasgow, G2 4BL.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, postal address, email address and telephone number;
  • booking and passenger details, including dates of birth, pickup points, room requirements and loyalty details;
  • dietary, accessibility, disability or other special-assistance information that you choose to provide;
  • passport, nationality, insurance or next-of-kin details where these are required for a particular journey;
  • payment and transaction information, which may also be processed securely by our payment providers;
  • enquiries, correspondence, survey responses and marketing preferences; and
  • technical information about use of our website, such as device, browser, cookie and usage information.

If you make a booking for another person, you must have their authority to provide their information and should make this policy available to them.

3. How and why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide quotations, process and manage bookings and deliver the travel services you request;
  • contact you about your booking, changes, safety information and customer-service matters;
  • manage payments, refunds, complaints and our legal or accounting obligations;
  • make appropriate arrangements with hotels, transport operators, attractions and other suppliers;
  • improve our website, services, customer experience and business operations;
  • prevent fraud, protect our systems and establish or defend legal claims; and
  • send relevant offers, brochures and travel news where we have consent or another lawful basis to do so.

Our lawful bases may include performing a contract with you, taking steps at your request before a contract, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate business interests and your consent. Where we process special-category information, we do so only where an additional lawful condition applies.

4. Meta Ads Automation

We use a private internal application called LLT Ads Automation to help authorised Loch Lomond Travel staff create and review advertising through Meta’s Marketing API.

The application may access Meta business assets and advertising information that Loch Lomond Travel has authorised, including campaign and ad-set names, identifiers, statuses, budget settings and other configuration needed to prepare adverts. Staff may provide advertising images, copy, destination links, location targeting and campaign choices. This information is sent to Meta solely to create or manage Loch Lomond Travel advertising.

The application does not offer customer Facebook Login, does not sell personal information and is not used to import Loch Lomond Travel passenger or booking records into Meta. New advertising objects created by the tool are prepared in a paused state for staff review. Meta separately processes information under its own terms and privacy policies.

5. Who we share information with

Where necessary, we may share relevant information with accommodation providers, coach and ferry operators, attractions, ticket providers, payment processors, technology and customer-service providers, professional advisers, insurers, regulators and public authorities. For advertising operations, relevant creative and campaign information is shared with Meta. We require service providers to protect information and use it only for the agreed purpose. We do not sell personal information.

6. International transfers and security

Some suppliers and technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law. We use proportionate organisational and technical measures to protect information, although no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing your booking, responding to enquiries, meeting tax, accounting, insurance and legal requirements, and resolving disputes. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and applicable obligations. Advertising assets and records submitted to Meta may also remain in the relevant Meta business account until removed in accordance with Meta’s controls and retention practices.

8. Marketing and cookies

You can ask us to stop direct marketing at any time by using an unsubscribe option or contacting us. Service messages about an existing booking are not marketing. Our website may use necessary, analytics and preference cookies; browser settings can be used to control cookies, although disabling necessary cookies may affect website operation.

9. Your data-protection rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to provide access to your information, correct inaccurate information, erase information, restrict or object to processing, provide certain information in a portable format, or withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute and legal or contractual retention requirements may apply.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Requests and deletion instructions

To exercise your rights or request deletion of information connected with our website, services or LLT Ads Automation, email hello@lochlomondtravel.com with the subject Data deletion request. Please describe the information or Meta business asset concerned. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting and will respond in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date.
