The Auckland Hotel in Morecambe is your home for all three nights. This family-run hotel sits on the central promenade, with comfortable en-suite accommodation and lounges where you can take in the changing views across the bay.
Dinner, bed and breakfast are included throughout your stay. With the evening programme hosted at the hotel, you can enjoy the occasion and have your room close at hand when it is time to turn in.
Day 1 · A Lakeland start
Travel to Bowness-on-Windermere for free time before continuing to Morecambe. Enjoy this lively Lakeland town beside Windermere: take in the lakeside setting, browse the streets or find somewhere for a warming coffee.
At The Auckland, your break begins with a Buck’s Fizz reception, followed by music and dancing with the resident entertainer. Settle in, meet your fellow guests and enjoy the first evening of your New Year stay.
Day 2 · New Year’s Eve
Join the coach for a short visit to Skipton, a market town with a picturesque canal-side setting and plenty of character. Enjoy a change of scene before returning to the hotel for the evening.
Prefer to stay at The Auckland? A light lunch is included at the hotel for guests who choose not to join the Skipton visit. Enjoy a gentler day and make the most of your seaside base.
After dinner, enjoy games and entertainment as the evening builds towards the New Year. A glass of bubbly at midnight is included—time to raise a toast and welcome the year ahead together.
Day 3 · New Year’s Day
Enjoy a day at leisure in Morecambe. You might take a stroll along the promenade, find the much-loved Eric Morecambe statue or simply stay cosy at the hotel and enjoy the views from the lounge.
An afternoon cream tea in the bar/lounge gives the day a lovely pause. After dinner, the resident entertainer returns for another evening of entertainment to round off your stay.
Day 4 · Homeward bound
After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel home by coach. Bring back memories of Lakeland scenery, a warm Morecambe welcome and a New Year enjoyed in good company.
Return coach travel with reserved seating is included, keeping the practical side of your four-day break straightforward.
