Join us for a magical evening as Edinburgh Zoo’s Giant Lanterns returns with a brand new out-of-this-world theme for this year. This spectacular after-dark trail will transform the zoo into a glowing space safari, filled with bright galaxies, cosmic creatures and larger-than-life galactic lantern displays.
Follow the illuminated outdoor route and journey beyond the stars as hundreds of hand-crafted lanterns light up the zoo grounds in a completely different way. Created by Chinese artists using traditional techniques, these impressive installations bring colour, imagination and atmosphere to a winter evening in Edinburgh.
This is not a daytime zoo visit - it is a special night-time adventure designed to feel magical, immersive and full of wonder.
