Esholt & Otley

Step into the world of Emmerdale with visits to two of the show’s most iconic real-life filming locations. First, we stop in Esholt - used as the original Emmerdale village from the 1970s through to the 1990s. Fans will recognise familiar sights like the Woolpack pub, and the village itself still carries plenty of charm for a nostalgic wander.

Then it’s on to Otley, known on-screen as the market town of Hotton. With its traditional high street, riverside walks, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s easy to see why this town became a regular backdrop in the show. A must for fans and a lovely visit for anyone who enjoys a classic Yorkshire setting.

Skipton

Welcome to Skipton, the picturesque gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Nestled along the scenic Leeds and Liverpool Canal, this charming market town exudes historic charm and natural beauty. Explore the medieval Skipton Castle, a formidable fortress surrounded by lush gardens, or wander through the bustling High Street filled with independent shops and traditional markets. Meander along the canal towpath, where narrowboats add a touch of serenity to the landscape. Enjoy a leisurely canal cruise or embrace the outdoor adventures awaiting in the Dales. With its blend of history, culture, and stunning surroundings, Skipton invites you to experience the quintessential charm of Yorkshire.
