Your holiday includes visits to Amsterdam on both the outward and return journeys. Enjoy the city’s canal-side views, distinctive gabled houses and lively café culture alongside your Efteling adventure.
Follow the waterways on foot, pause for a coffee or browse the independent shops of the Nine Streets. The pleasure here is in the little discoveries: a quiet bridge, a colourful shopfront, a fresh stroopwafel.

Perhaps book a canal cruise for a different perspective, or choose a museum that interests you. These are optional ideas, not included excursions—any tickets and advance reservations are your own responsibility and should fit the time available.

Travel with DFDS on two overnight sailings between Newcastle and IJmuiden. Settle into your cabin, enjoy the onboard atmosphere and let the crossing become part of the holiday.
Dinner and breakfast are included on both sailings. That means an evening meal and a morning breakfast on your outward journey, and the same again on your return.
