Where gardening steals the show.
For a few glorious days in May, the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea become a celebration of what gardens can be. Discover imaginative Show Gardens, beautiful planting combinations and clever ideas for everything from a sweeping landscape to a small city space.
Then step into the Great Pavilion, where specialist growers turn plants into spectacular displays. Take a closer look, ask a question, find a new favourite and enjoy the infectious enthusiasm of people who love growing things. With your entry ticket included, this is your chance to experience that unmistakable Chelsea buzz.
The joy is in the details.
A playful flourish, a fresh colour pairing or an idea for wildlife: Chelsea has a wonderful way of sending you home inspired.
Chelsea photographs show previous displays, offering a flavour of the creativity that makes each show unique.
A whole world waiting to grow on you.
At Kew, a garden stroll becomes a journey through the plant kingdom. Follow paths beneath magnificent trees, pause among seasonal planting and discover how this extraordinary place helps protect plants from around the world.
The Temperate House, the world's largest Victorian glasshouse, is a particular highlight. Beneath its soaring iron-and-glass structure are rare and threatened plants from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Australasia. Outside, broad lawns and leafy walks invite you to slow down and enjoy a different pace after Chelsea's bustle. Entry to Kew Gardens is included.
Kew's Palm House is scheduled to be closed during May 2027 as part of its conservation project; our visit focuses on the wider Gardens and other highlights.
A little Yorkshire. A lot to love.
There is a wonderfully natural feel to Harlow Carr, where the garden sits comfortably within the Yorkshire countryside. Woodland paths, beautiful borders and the much-loved Streamside bring a softer, more intimate kind of garden magic.
Spring adds its own pleasures, from fresh green foliage to rhododendrons and early primulas. Follow the water through lush planting, discover the Alpine House and enjoy a garden full of ideas that feel close to home. It is a lovely contrast to the spectacle of Chelsea and the grand scale of Kew.
After the flowers, put your feet up.
